Murphy is retired and living a life of leisure

Murphy, the fourth addition to our Shiloh family, comes from the breeding of two of MaCree Shilohs’ Search and Rescue dogs. On a visit to MaCree’s prior to dinner plans, I was introduced to this litter sired by MaCree’s Tribute To The Great One (a Devaki/Cory outcross) and out of CJ’s Rockin’ Rio De Lobo. Although I was not planning on another addition to our Shiloh family, the one plush male furball of love was very insistent that he was going home with me. We did not get home that night until after midnight, and then it was Saint Patrick’s Day, so we gave Murphy a good, strong, Irish name.

Murphy has remained very attatched to me and has proven to be extremely clever, a quick learner, and willing to please. After surgery on my foot, he was always at my side, very concerned and wanting to take care of me. To my surprise, when I dropped something, such as the TV remote, or a bottle of water, pointed at it and told him to pick it up and bring it to me, he did! This boy is very sensitive, has tons of energy, and responds immediately to commands. He definitely carries the working qualities that this breed is capable of.

He is only one year old, but is a very sturdy boy with great bone, tireless movement, great pigment, and a nice, thick coat. He also has a wonderful head with perfect ears, good stop, and lovely expression.
